Why a regional town has been dubbed ‘Toorak of the north’

3AW Mornings

A developer has labelled the town of Kyabram “Toorak of the north”, and there are plans underway to build 32 stately homes in the town.

Former Campaspe Shire councillor and resident, Vicki Neele, believes the appeal of Kyabram — a town 200 kilometres north of Melbourne — is location.

“We’re a nice little town, but we’re not on a main highway, so you’ve got to come to Kyabram, not through it,” Ms Neele told Tony Jones filling in for Neil Mitchell.
