Why a Western Sydney Council is banning books on same-sex parenting

Cumberland City Council in Sydney’s west has voted to ban books on same-sex parenting.

Cumberland councillor, Steve Christou, says the decision came after feedback from local residents.

“Australia would be a better place if more elected representatives, actually stood up for the values of their community, and represented the interests of their community,” he told Tom Elliott.
