Why ADHD is being ‘over-diagnosed’

A clinical psychiatrist says he’s not surprised by a new report claiming Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is being over-diagnosed in children.

“Nine times out of 10, ADHD is an oversimplification,” Dr Tanveer Ahmed told 3AW Mornings.

“There is no question the tablets can help a lot of people, but nine times out of 10 there is more going on.”
