Why AFL memberships are on the rise
It’s been announced today by Gillon McLachlan the AFL has achieved an all-time high membership record of 1.26 million members.
Associate dean of higher education and sport at Holmesglen, Dr Sam Duncan, says there are a bunch of reasons why people might buy memberships.
“Some people do it for very personal reasons, and that’s about the seat at the weekly home match, or come September if they think their team’s going to be in the finals – purchasing that,” he told Tom Elliott.
