Why Australia ‘must include’ nuclear power to achieve zero carbon emissions

A professor of nuclear science says Australia must include nuclear power in its energy mix to achieve an affordable and timely transition to a zero-carbon power grid.

He’s says it’s naive and unrealistic to think a zero-carbon power grid can be achieved with just solar and wind power.

“It’s just not a viable approach,” Jacopo Buongiorno told 3AW Drive.
