Why Bill Shorten is leaving politics earlier than expected

National Disability Insurance Scheme Minister Bill Shorten is leaving parliament earlier than expected.

The former federal opposition leader was expected to depart politics at the end of January, but will now leave on Monday.

He explained to 3AW Mornings why he opted to depart earlier than expected.
