Climate activist Gregory Andrews has explained why he’s gone on an hunger strike outside parliament house in Canberra.

Mr Andrews is currently on day nine of a hunger strike as he pushes the Albanese government to implement change.

“I’m doing this for kids and our future,” he told Tom Elliott on 3AW Drive.

“The climate science shows that by the end of this century when my kids will be alive that three to six billion people won’t be living in places that are safe due to the heat.”
