Why ‘desperate’ buyers are forking out millions on houses they’ve never inspected

Desperate families wanting to buy property before house prices rise even further are forking out millions without even looking at a house in person first.

Victoria’s COVID-19 restrictions currently mean inspections and open houses are banned.

Stephen Dullens, CEO of Ray White Victoria, said it wasn’t just market concerns driving the trend.

“There are a lot of people out there who just don’t have a choice,” he said.
