Dolphins are being forced to “shout” at each other in the world’s oceans due to the noise being created by human drilling and shipping, international research has found.

Pernille Sørensen, from the University of Bristol, told 3AW Breakfast the animals were able to increase the sound of their calls, but it was impacting their health.

“It actually impacts animals working together … they’re less successful at performing co-operative tasks,” she said.
