Why farmers are threatening to leave supermarkets without supply

The National Party is pushing for the consumer watchdog to launch an inquiry into price-gouging as farmers threaten to stop supplying supermarkets.

Ross Marsolino from Natural Earth Produce in the Goulburn Valley says farmers are not earning enough despite high prices from the supermarkets.

“We’re going backwards …  they’re publicising they pay market price … but they’re retailing too high,” he told 3AW Breakfast.
