Why Gerry Harvey has gone in to bat for the head of the Reserve Bank

Gerry Harvey says much of the criticism that’s been directed at the head of the Reserve Bank in recent months over rising interest rates has been unfair.

The chairman of Harvey Norman told Tom Elliott said Philip Lowe was simply doing the job he’d been tasked.

“It’s not like he’s an idiot, he’s a very smart guy,” Mr Harvey said.
