Why grocery prices are expected to keep rising
Shoppers are being told to expect grocery prices to keep rising due to inflationary pressures.
The rising cost of transport and ingredients has been blamed.
Arnott’s is believed to considering price increases, while SPC has already said it will need to charge customers more.
Fred Harrison, the CEO of Ritchie’s IGA, told Ross and Russel every input cost was “going through the roof” at the moment.
“Whether it be wheat, transport – fuel is a big one – wages, aluminum,” he said.
