Why health experts are pushing for a ban on wood-fire heating

Asthma Australia has called to ban wood-fires in new housing developments over concerns they have negatively impact asthmatics.

Policy manager at Asthma Australia, Angela Cartwright, says asthmatics have ended up in hospital after their neighbours used their wood fires.

“Our focus is really on the areas where we know wood smoke can really affect neighbours,” she told Tom Elliott.
