Why Josh Frydenberg is ‘disappointed’ with some state leaders

The federal treasurer has again warned Australia’s states and territories that financial support won’t be available forever, pleading with them to stick with the “national plan” of living with COVID-19.
“I’ve been very clear, publicly, there should be no expectation on behalf of premiers and chief ministers that the scale of our economic support that we’re providing right now will continue once we get to those targets of 70 and 80 per cent,” Josh Frydenberg told Neil Mitchell.
He expressed disappointment with the latest rhetoric coming out of Queensland and Western Australia, two states that are currently largely COVID-19 free.
