Why Matthew Lloyd isn’t expecting Essendon drop off after strong start

Essendon great Matthew Lloyd says his former side is playing a “sustainable” brand of football and doesn’t expect them to drop off as the season continues.

The Bombers beat GWS by 20 points on Saturday, showing much-improved signs under Brad Scott as they rocketed into third place on the ladder.

“I always thought they were better than they were producing,” he said on Wide World of Sports.

“Brad Scott has them playing a way that they believe…it’s nice to see a sustainable brand. I’ve said that before and it’s failed, but I don’t just see that happening this year.”
