Why Melbourne’s ‘sense of pride’ is being ‘eroded and chipped away’

Melbourne’s “sense of pride” is being eroded as a result of the city’s current crime wave, according to Jacqui Felgate.

The 3AW Drive host says the city’s reputation is suffering because of rampant crime across Melbourne.

“We have watched over the last two years as the sense of pride and what it means to be a Melburnian is chipped away and eroded,” she said on 3AW.

“We have watched our glorious and successful city become crime-riddled, dirty, underfunded and an overgoverned shadow of its former self.”
