Do you put your morning takeaway coffee cup in the recycling bin once you’re done?

Well, turns out you’re probably doing it wrong.

Andrew McDonough, regional manager from paper and cardboard manufacturer Detpak, told 3AW Drive most cups weren’t actually recyclable.

‘The only way you can recycle them is if you remove the plastic lining from the inside from the board,’ he explained.

‘And you can’t do it. You’re wasting your time.’
