Why NBN ‘rumour’ is unlikely to become reality
A “rumour going around” Telstra may try and buy the NBN from the federal government is unlikely to become reality, says an Associate Professor in the School of Engineering at RMIT.
Tom Elliott has heard the rumour and asked Dr Mark Gregory about it on Friday.
“There would be no way the Australian industry would allow a company that was majority-owned by Telstra to buy, or take partial shareholding, in NBN Co,” he said in response.
