Neil Mitchell says he’ll believe Melbourne’s getting a rail to the airport when he sees one.

It comes after Daniel Andrews became the latest Premier to promise a train to Tullamarine.

“It is now 60 years since an airport rail link was first suggested,” Neil Mitchell said on Thursday.

“Yep, 1958.

“Then again in 1962, and 1965, and 1998 and more recently in 2012.

“Airport Link is floated up every now and then when a government needs a boost, so forgive my cynicism.

“Don’t start dancing in the street just yet.

“I mean, seriously…”
