Why Neil Mitchell isn’t happy with the CFMEU … and 3AW

Neil Mitchell has expressed his concern over an “extraordinary” CFMEU advertisement being played on 3AW and other stations.

“I don’t like it,” the 3AW Mornings host said.

The recorded message specifically hits out at building company VCON/Element5.

“They’re flatly accusing a building company of being unsafe and dangerous,” Neil Mitchell said.

It’s concerned Neil Mitchell because he can’t find any confirmation of the CFMEU’s claims, despite contacting WorkSafe and searching legal documents.

He said it also failed to mention the “history of bad blood” between the company and the union.

“We’ve either got a dodgy company, or a union not overly concerned about the truth,” Neil Mitchell said.

“Like it or not, 3AW and other radio stations are in the middle of that.”
