Wake up in the middle of the night and dwell on your fears and shortcomings? Well, turns out you’re not alone.

And it’s become more prevalent during the pandemic.

Professor Greg Murray, Director of the Centre for Mental Health at Swinburne University of Technology, said troubled sleep in the middle of the night wasn’t uncommon.

“There is quite a bit of evidence that the general stress the world is feeling is impacting sleep, as we expected it would,” he said of the COVID-19 pandemic.

And there’s a reason why it’s often around 3am.
