Why several councils have missed this deadline

Councils across Victoria have missed the deadline to introduce glass kerbside collection bins.

Lecturer at Deakin University’s school of life and environmental services Dr Trevor Thornton says the reason mostly comes down to cost.

“And also a feeling of how effective it’s going to be,” he said.
