Why The 12th Man is hanging up the microphone

For many of us, The 12th Man is as much the voice of summer as the commentators he impersonates.

We’ve all had a crack at mimicking legendary cricket callers like Richie Benaud, Tony Greig, and Bill ‘got him!‘ Lawry. 

But Billy Birmingham has told Denis Walter he won’t be reviving his career with the new crop of commentators.

His latest release, The 12th Man Calls Stumps, will be his last.
