Why the family of Barry Humphries has been left ‘greatly distressed’

The family of Barry Humphries has been left “greatly distressed” by the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s commentary following the iconic comedian’s death, says Peter Ford.

“Please, shut up,” was the message from Ford to festival organisers on 3AW Breakfast.

The showbiz guru said there was “a reason” why Humphries spent his final years in Sydney, not Melbourne.
