Why the government should ‘bring back’ tax deductible long lunches

There are calls for the government to re-introduce tax-deductible long lunches.

It’s claimed it would help save the hospitality industry.

Peter Switzer, financial commentator and author, told Tom Elliott there was no doubt the allowance had been misused in the past.

“But the bottom line is that this (hospitality) sector is so beaten up that it needs some help,” he said.
