Why the Greens are pushing the Labor government for a two year ‘rental freeze’

Mornings with Tom Elliott

The Greens have demanded the Labor government implement a two-year “rental freeze” as rental prices continue to rise.

Victorian Greens renters’ rights spokesperson Gabrielle de Vietri believes a crisis is unfolding in the public housing system.

“What we’re facing at the moment is a crisis that’s failing to provide adequate housing and basic needs for people,” Ms de Vietri told Tom Elliott, filling in for Neil Mitchell.
