Why the price of holiday rentals are booming

The price of renting a weekend getaway is skyrocketing due to “pent-up demand” from Victorians eager to have their first post-lockdown holiday.

Travel Expert at Finder Angus Kidman said another reason it’s the first time Victorians can really feel confident in booking something in some time.

“There’s always a surge in pricing around Christmas, but we’re seeing it’s even more extreme than usual this time around,” he told T’om Elliott on 3AW Drive.

“We’re seeing some big growth in rates especially in those popular holiday destinations.”
