The rise of scams and unsecured passwords circling on the dark way has meant an increased risk to security, with new passkey technology allowing users to log in using fingerprint or facial recognition as an alternative.

“There’s some of this interim step where some technology allows your face to enter your login,” cybersecurity Expert Ches Rafferty told 3AW Mornings.

“But the actual passkey passes that step altogether.”
