A new online reporting system and improving weather have been credited with the “real improvement” in quality of roads around the Mornington Peninsula, says the local mayor.

Mornington Peninsula shire mayor Steve Holland told Neil Mitchell there were more than 380 complaints in the first week the reporting system was setup.

“It’s dropped off now, which I think is evidence that there are less potholes out and about,” he said.
