There is a push to trial some radical changes to Australia’s education system.
“The data shows we’re spending 20 per cent more per student, in real terms, over the last decade and yet results are stagnating, or declining,” Dr Alex Robson, the Productivity Commissioner deputy chair, told 3AW Drive.
So they’re proposing a trial of some significant changes, which could include extending the school day, letting students progress based on ability, not age, and more online classes.
