Why this architect has a problem with Prahran Square

An architect has written an article slamming Prahran Square as a “nightmarish expression of garishness, zing and glitz”.

Architect and author of the article, Norman Day, says he wanted to draw awareness to the City of Stonnington, who paid a lot of money for the square.

“To provide them $64 million … it’s a lot of money and I worry about that … in balance, I worry about things like that, I just think – ‘Hang on, that’s out of wack’,” he told Tony Moclair.
