Why this CEO is comparing the economic crisis in Australia to the GFC

The founder of Freelancer.com has compared the current economic crisis in Australia to the Global Financial Crisis in 2008.

Matt Barrie told Tom Elliott the housing prices in Australia are out of kilter to the rest of the world.

“Socio-economists say if the median household price to the median household income … is five times or above – it is astronomically unaffordable, the last report that came out from Demographia said Sydney is 13.3 times,” he said.
