Why Tom Elliott thinks smart phones are more useful than harmful

A former executive of Meta has said that children under the age of 14 should not have a smartphone, stating they could cause serious mental and physical health risks.

Responding to the comments, Tom Elliott said smartphones actually make things easier for parents.

“The ship has sailed there,” he said on 3AW.

“Sometime we overstate that the harm of smartphones and forget that they are pretty useful.”
