Why Tom Elliott thinks the republic movement is ‘dead’

Tom Elliott says Australia’s reaction to news the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their third child shows the republican movement is “dead.”

The 3AW Drive host believes the majority of Australians are still “fascinated” by the royal family.

He said the fact Kate and William were still front page news showed so.

“I don’t think we’re ready to give them up,” Tom Elliott said.
