Why Tom Elliott wants Australians to expect more of the people immigrating to Australia

Tom Elliott is pushing for Australians to expect more of the people allowed into the country after two high-profile instances.

The Mornings host has pointed to the lowering English standards and a recent visa granted for a woman who is allegedly a supporter of the terrorist organisation Hamas.

“I despair at our immigration system, we’ve talked a lot in the past about just how many people we bring in to Australia … I wanted to talk about the types of people we bring in – not in a racist way, but in an objective way,” he said.
