There wasn’t a noticeable increase in traffic on the roads this morning, despite most workers being encouraged to return to the office from today.

And there was only a slight increase in public transport use.

Georgia Main from the Department of Transport told Neil Mitchell tomorrow was the day to watch.

“Monday, of course, we are thinking will probably be a work from home day if people are doing more of that hybrid approach,” she said.

“Tomorrow will probably be more the one to watch.

“We are expecting it to be a little busier.”
