Victorian Energy Minister Lily D’Ambrosio has explained why her government has opted to roll back mooted plans to cut the amount of gas being used in the state.

The Allan government announced on Monday they’ll be slowing the transition from gas to electric in local businesses.

Ms D’Ambrosio defended the government’s decision to wind back their initial hardline stance on gas usage.
