WorkCover fees for labour-hire firms in Victoria more than doubled on July 1.

CEO of the Recruitment, Consulting and Staffing Association, Charles Cameron, said increasing WorkSafe costs are being passed on to businesses and it may mean labour-hire companies cease Victorian operations.

“For comparison, here in Victoria it’s 7.4 per cent of your total remuneration needs to go to premiums, in NSW it’s one per cent,” he told Jimmy Bartel and Mark Allen, filling in for Ross and Russel.
