Why we shouldn’t be shocked Australia is out of recession already

The Reserve Bank of Australia says the nation is out of recession.

The news came as a real shock to Ross and Russel on 3AW Breakfast.

But not PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Chief Economist.

“I’m not surprised,” Jeremy Thorpe said.

“I think this is the divergence between the experiences of people living in Melbourne and what the rest of the country has actually been going through in the meantime.”
