A global shortage in canola oil has seen the price rise, which could be passed on to customers.

But Australians have been assured there is plenty here to go around.

Nick Goddard, from Australian Oilseeds Federation, told Tom Elliott the issue was being driven overseas.

“Canada is the largest producer in the world and they’re suffering a very, very bad drought at the moment, so the market is very short globally,” he said.
