Why you’re ‘bloody stupid’ to let your kids on social media
Leading child psychologist Dr Michael Carr-Gregg says you’re “bloody stupid” if you let a child under the age of 13 on social media.
It comes as calls grow for government action on cyber bullying.
Speaking on 3AW Mornings, Dr Carr-Gregg said bullying will never be stopped, purely because teenage brains aren’t fully developed and “you can’t legislate against that”.
But he said parents weren’t helping by allowing those children on websites like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter.
“It’s just bloody stupid,” he said.
“You’re getting these immature brains with the same broadcasting capacity as Rupert Murdoch – that’s got trouble written all over it.”

Tony also spoke with former health minister Graham Richardson, who has opened up about his own family’s battle with bullying.
