Wild weather expected across Melbourne

A large part of Victoria’s in for another day of wild weather, and for the first time in nearly a decade…  a Storm Force Warning has been issued for Port Phillip and Westernport

Winds of more than 100km/h buffeted the state yesterday and there’s more to come.

Senior forecaster Michael Efron says another very strong cold front will move across the state today.

‘That will actually develop into a low pressure system just south of Melbourne later in the day,’ Mr Efron told 3AW News.

‘With that low developing, we will see very strong wouth-westly winds across much of southern Victoria.’
