Wills MP Kelvin Thomson calls for duck shooting ban in Victoria

A Federal Labor MP is calling on his state colleagues to ban duck shooting in Victoria.
Kelvin Thomson has written an open letter to the state’s Environment Minister, Lisa Neville, calling for an end to animal cruelty.
The Andrews Government is waiting for an independent report on the future of duck shooting.
The advice is due next week .
But Mr Thomson told 3AW Drive dwindling water levels meant we have to act quickly.
‘The number of water birds in eastern Australian has dropped to its second-lowest level on record,’ he said.
