Two men who police believe are armed remain on the run after ramming a police car in Cranbourne this morning and fleeing in a stolen black Toyota Aurion.

The duo used the vehicle to ram a police car sparking a short pursuit that was terminated due to safety reasons.

Witness Alisha told Neil Mitchell one of the men crashed another stolen car, a ute, near Monahans Road around 9am after hitting street signs and a light pole.

“They’ve actually exited the vehicle and run off,” she said.

The car, with number plates WPQ300, was last seen on the Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road.

Police are advising the public not to approach the men.

The offenders are Caucasian, one is heavily tattooed, and one is wearing a blue singlet.
