Two teenagers have been arrested after a police pursuit across suburbs in Melbourne’s north overnight.

Witness Adam told Neil Mitchell he was woken about 4am this morning to the sound of a loud crash in his Gladstone Park street.

“I was asleep, woken up by the sounds of a high-speed car chase, followed by screeching tyres, followed by police sirens then an almighty bang,” Adam said.

“As I was running outside, down my driveway, I had two African men running towards me.

“When I realised what was going on, I said to them, ‘Hide in here boys, come in here’ to try and trap them into the garage.”

But Adam said the trio ran off.
