Woman allegedly hit by a trailer during an attempt to steal her BMW

A woman has allegedly been hit by a trailer while trying to stop her BMW from being stolen in Elwood overnight.

Police were told two men were attempting to load a BMW Sedan onto a trailer when the owners of the car drove into the street, witnessing the attempted theft in progress.

In an attempt to stop the alleged theft, the owners of the BMW crashed their car into a white jeep and trailer.

The unsuccessful offenders drove off, and the victim was allegedly hit by the trailer as it passed her.
