A woman with a baby and a toddler has been robbed in Hampton Park, after agreeing to pay $1000 for a phone online.

Witness Terry Hastings told Neil Mitchell the woman had been lured to the address by a person claiming to be selling an iPhone on Facebook.

Upon arriving in Terry’s court in Hampton Park, the woman was ambushed by three offenders.

“She’d accepted a Facebook marketplace invitation to buy a phone for $1000 and they’d given an address which is in our court,” Terry said.

“They grabbed her handbag and her sister’s handbag out of her car and legged it.

“There was three of them, wearing black hoodies and of African appearance.”

David then called Neil Mitchell and said he saw the three young men before and after the robbery.

“First they walked through the wetlands past my house,” David said.

“I’ve had my tools stolen twice and I’ve seen them around before.

“Ten minutes later I saw them bolting back through the wetlands with the bag.”

David said he got in his car and took off after the trio, but lost them.
