Woman and child die after falling from balcony on corner of Bourke and Spencer

A woman and baby have died after falling from a balcony in the CBD.

The incident happened in an apartment block on the corner of Bourke and Spencer streets.

The woman, 31, and four-month-old baby were found dead in a courtyard just after 10.30am on Thursday.

Police believe they may have fallen from an internal balcony in a reported murder suicide. 

It’s understood they died instantly.

The coroner has arrived on scene and police are not looking for any suspects.
