Woman arrested after fatal hit-run in Sunshine

A young woman is in custody over a hit-run collision at Sunshine on Monday.

The victim was getting out of a car just after 3pm when it took off on High Street, dragging her along the road until she hit a parked car.

She was taken to hospital with serious injuries but sadly died.

The driver didn’t stop at the scene, but a 22-year-old woman has since been arrested and is assisting police with their enquiries.

Police believe the driver and victim were known to each other.
