Woman assaulted and wig stolen during theft in North Melbourne

Police have released images of two people they’re looking for, after a shop owner was punched in the face during a theft in North Melbourne last month.

The 44-year-old victim was struck when she tried to stop them from taking a wig from her stall, and sustained minor injuries.

The woman is described as African in appearance, with a thin build, about 165cm tall, with short, dark hair.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, with a medium build, and about 180cm tall.
